STEP 01 / USB CONNECTION

Connect your device

Use Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer. Choose firmware update or open the serial monitor only; device data stays in this browser.

Plug in the device

Use a USB data cable, not a charge-only cable. Connect the device directly to the computer when possible.

Select the ZECTRIX USB device

Click the button below, then choose the device in your browser's connection window.

Only need to view serial data?Open the live serial monitor at the default 115200 baud. No firmware will be selected or written.
Chrome or Edge required.Web Serial is not available in Safari or Firefox.

MANUAL DOWNLOAD MODE

If the device will not connect

Most devices connect without using any buttons. If the browser still cannot connect, try this ESP32-S3 recovery sequence:

  1. Leave the USB cable connected.
  2. Press and hold the Voice button. This is the BOOT button.
  3. While holding Voice, press the RESET pinhole on the left side once.
  4. Release the Voice button, close this guide, and click Connect device again.

This manually puts the ESP32-S3 into download mode. After the update, a normal restart returns the device to regular operation.
