1. Scope

Sections 1–6 explain information handling when you visit zectrix.com, follow an external link, or contact us through the website. Section 7 describes the ZecTrix Android app on Google Play. Website disclosures about Baidu Analytics, Google Analytics, Country, Cloudflare website forms, and Resend apply to this website and are not features of the app. Other products and third-party platforms may have separate notices.

2. Information we process

Website access logs

Our hosting or internet service providers may record basic logs such as IP address, access time, browser type, requested pages, and error information to keep the website secure and reliable.

Website analytics

We use Baidu Analytics and Google Analytics to understand page views, traffic sources, device and browser types, time on page, and interactions so we can evaluate and improve the site. Baidu Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to process visit identifiers, IP address, browser language, device and operating system information, internet service provider, and the date, time, and duration of a visit. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and process user counts, session statistics, approximate geolocation, and browser and device information. This information is handled under the Baidu Analytics privacy policy, Google Analytics data collection documentation, and Google Privacy Policy.

Country routing and local preferences

When you first visit the Chinese home page without a language choice, the website asks Country for the country or region code associated with your public IP address so it can route you to the Chinese, English, or Japanese home page. We use only the returned country code and cache it briefly in your browser. A language you choose manually takes priority.

Inquiry and contact forms

If you submit a website form, we process the name, company, email address, message, page language, and newsletter choice you provide. We store the submission in our website inquiry database and send a notification to the designated ZECTRIX contact address so we can respond and follow up.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you actively subscribe, we process your email address, page language group, and subscription status to send product updates, open-source news, and occasional offers. Newsletter consent is optional and is not required to submit an inquiry.

Other information you send us

If you contact us by email, phone, or another public channel, we process the name, company, contact details, message, and attachments you provide so we can respond and follow up.

3. How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the website experience.

We do not sell personal information collected through ordinary visits to this website.

4. Third-party services and external links

The website uses Baidu Analytics, Google Analytics, and the Country country-code lookup service. Cloudflare helps process and store website form submissions, and Resend delivers inquiry notifications and manages newsletter subscriptions. These providers process the information needed to perform those services under their respective terms and privacy notices.

The website also includes links to services such as Bilibili, RED, Douyin, WeChat, and the ZECTRIX Wiki. After you leave this website, each third-party platform processes information under its own rules. Please review the relevant privacy policy before using an external service.

We try to minimize unnecessary personal information when displaying customer comments and images, but the original content may still belong to the relevant user or platform.

5. Retention, security, and your choices

We retain information you send us only for as long as needed to handle an inquiry, meet our obligations, or resolve a dispute, and we use safeguards appropriate to the level of risk. You may clear locally stored browser data. You may unsubscribe using the link provided in a marketing email or contact us. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you provided, except where the law requires otherwise.

7. ZecTrix Android app

This section describes the ZecTrix app on Google Play, operated by ZECTRIX Lab (浙江永芯物联科技有限公司). It covers the account and the data the app sends to our servers. The website analytics in sections 1–6 are not part of the app.

Account

You can register with an email address and a password, or sign in with Google. We process the email address, the password you choose, and, when you use Google, the sign-in token and the email address associated with that Google account. The password is encrypted before it leaves the phone and is stored on our servers as a salted one-way hash. We also store the session needed to keep you signed in, and a display name if you set one.

Notes, to-dos, and voice

Notes and to-dos you create are stored on our servers so they can stay with your account and be sent to a bound device. If you create a to-do by voice, the app records audio on the phone and uploads that recording to our servers to turn it into text. We store the resulting text with the to-do. The recording is used to provide this feature. We do not use it to advertise to you or to identify you by your voice.

Images and feedback

If you choose a photo to preview or send to a bound device, the app uploads that image to our servers so it can be prepared for the device. If you send feedback in the app, we process the message, any contact detail you add, and up to three images you attach, so we can respond.

Device connection

To bind and manage a ZecTrix device, we process the device ID, MAC address, device name, hardware and firmware details, display settings, and the link between the device and your account. The app uses Bluetooth on the phone to set up the device. On Android, location permission lets the phone scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi networks. The Wi-Fi name and password are sent from the phone to the device over Bluetooth so the device can join the network. The camera is used when you scan a device QR code, and photo access is used when you pick an image to send.

Credits

Voice and related account features may use a credits balance stored with your account. We process that balance and the related usage so the feature can run.

Use, sharing, and security

We use the information above to provide the account, sync notes and to-dos, connect devices, transcribe voice, handle feedback, and protect the service. The app sends this data to our servers over HTTPS. We do not sell it. Google processes Google sign-in under its own terms. A speech-recognition service may process a voice recording only to return text. We do not put the website’s Baidu Analytics or Google Analytics into the app.

Retention and deletion

We keep the account, notes, to-dos, uploaded images, feedback you send, and device bindings while the account is in use and the data is needed to provide the app. You can delete individual notes, to-dos, and device display content in the app. That does not delete the account.

To delete the account and the data linked to it, follow the steps at https://zectrix.com/en/account-deletion.html. Enter your registered email in the form, or email support@zectrix.com from that address. If you sign in with Google, use that Google email. We delete the account within 30 days and reply to the same address. Backup copies may remain for up to 90 days after that, and we may keep a record when the law requires it. Uninstalling the app, or deleting a Google Play account, does not delete the ZecTrix account.
